candles in your cake

do people get more cranky with age? do they get more irritable as the days crawl by? is there a proportionate ratio between their eccentricity and the number of candles on their cake? in the case of the old uncle, i couldn't agree more. i can prolly nod my head till the hinge falls apart and rolls onto the floor.

had a appointment with him yesterday at 1pm. walked into his office, and found him reading the sports section. at least he wasn't acting busy.

'afternoon, sir!'
'yes?'
'im 3rd sgt Lim TL. you wanted me to report to you abt last week, when u got..."
'Lim wat! Lim Tulan ah?!'
'Lim Thou Leong, sir."
'i remember u! wat have u got to say?!'

before i could even complete a sentence of my feeble defence, he took out his black little notebook and wrote down my particulars.

'Lim! take 2(not tea breaks, confinements)!!'
'Yes sir.'
'now, get lost!!!'

of cos, that wasn't all, but if i were to include the full one-sided conversation, this blog prolly would have a M18 rating slapped upon it, and no amount of parental guidance would make little boys believe that NS is good for the male singaporean soul.

was actually supposed to clear up the drains this sat, but my warrant officer stepped in and made me do something else instead. now, im supposed to clean the hangar walls and rid it of the countless stains, and to wipe all the windows, sweep the floor, wash the fans and watnot. in short, spring cleaning. out of the fire and into the frying pan huh.

the punisher said with all the menace he could muster in his uber cheesy movie, "dun call me frank, call me... the punisher"

Lim TL said with all the misery he contained in his uber boring life, "dun call me tulan, call me... Maria..."

off to ball!!!
