hello?

back from guard duty again. didn't lose anythin this time round, cos i still dun have a phone! gotta head down to plaza singapura one of these days to get a replacement SIM card, which is gonna cost 30 odd bucks, since its the 2nd time i lost the phone. this very nice chirpy voice at the other end of 1633 told me that since its not the 1st time for my number, i've got to shell out the dough for the new card. hmm but why? didn't a new subscription qualify as a new number? apparently no. oh well.

realised the handiness of the handphone. past few days, i've been walking around with a handful of coins. and looking for phone booths to make calls. and no more smses! wonder how all of us managed a few years ago when we all used payphones, and the pinnacle of sophistication was the very snazzy motorola memojazz pager which came in bright colors like neon yellow and white.

met up with sher and yong on sunday. sher is still... sher. self-absorbed, though to a much lesser extent. good for him! we were supposed to attend this ntu talk abt the courses they held, but we were late, so all we got were a handful of phamphlets. just tagged along, since my nondescript grades would prolly never cut it. just might try anyway though, even if im not exactly fascinated with the idea of toiling away at math/physics for another 3 long years.

if i had my way, i'd be earning my keep as a baller, but that's not gonna happen. not in a gazillion light years, so perish the thought lol. unless my legs grow an extra 20cm overnight, which is not going to happen in a gazillion katrillion light years.
